  • Liberal viewpoint on War - sometimes war IS indicated and appropriate

It seems like some of the young new liberals coming into their various places are forgetting something very important, namely, sometimes war is the right thing to do. I also believe in social unrest and yes, even revolution in the name of the cause of social justice.

I am not going to make this one of my long posts because it is not necessary to demonstrate my point.

For any of you liberals out there (social and human rights advocates) who are trying to claim that war is always wrong, go out and study up on the AMERICAN CIVAL WAR.  And of course upteen thousand of you want to tell me that war was about states rights and not slavery. Fine.  You are merely building up a straw man to knock it down because you have no other way to disagree with my very solid position put forth here.

OBVIOUSLY one (please notice I said one, only one) of the states rights was the states "right" to allow people to own slaves and that "right" was smashed post civil war so here is what I say to all you hair splitters. Cite anyone you like, the outcome was worth it a million times over.  Civil war buffs go rant on your own blog. Make your own blog on this topic you are so up in arms about this, because my topic is this, and my position is this:

    - sometimes war is indicated and appropriate.

If you can't stick to that topic, get away from here. Leave me alone, GET LOST

Because, prior to the civil war, those fat-cat red-neck-racist plantation-owning-white-males were not about to give up their black slaves without a serious fight involving guns and domination and that's all there is to it.

Presumably, you are libaral and you do not believe in the practice of white men keeping black slaves. Well now you have seen an example where a war was necessary, but don't believe me, go study it.

For all the good it did, which was some, and I do agree that progress remains slow (and yes I do realize we have a black President, and no, OBVIOUSLY that does not mean racism is over).

All I had to do was come here today, and flip to one of my soon-to-be-former-"friends" recommended post just to get another reminder.
